How shilajit works
Shilajit contains fulvic acids and more than 40 minerals. It can improve reproductive system challenges, inflammation and allergic reactions. The amino acids found in shilajit, and specially in the concentrations of fulvic acid present in this botanical, are known for their strong antioxidant properties. One recent clinical study has shown that fulvic acid can protect against certain types of inflammation, and another study published in 2020 found that fulvic acid is extremely safe even at high doses.
Shilajit can improve metabolism, cognitive activities, and physical strength. One study published in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition demonstrated that eight weeks of high-dose shilajit supplementation “promoted the retention of maximal muscular strength.”
Recent studies have also reported that supplementation with a purified, organic form of shilajit improved mitochondrial function and increased free testosterone as well as total testosterone. Yet another study found an increase in collagen expression with shilajit supplementation. All of these studies specifically looked at the organic shilajit brand Nariveda uses in this supplement.
