For convenience, you can buy this yellow spice in bulk and refrigerate it for a month. While in storage, cover the turmeric roots in between paper towels and change them when they retain unwanted moisture, so the roots don’t mold. You can alternatively obtain pre-ground turmeric powder from a food store in your neighborhood. High-quality turmeric powder appears bright yellow.
With the help of a peeler, peel the turmeric roots and mince them. Sautéing the turmeric root with, carrots, onions, and celery is the next thing you should do. You finally need to add the resultant spice to healthy oil to prepare your soups, stews, and curries.
TURMERIC LEMONADE
1 tbs turmeric powder
1/2 lemon, freshly juiced
8oz water
1 teaspoon raw honey
